Terms of Service
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Welcome to Debara! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Debara mobile app and website (the "Service"), operated by Debara ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Using Debara
Debara helps you track pantry items, manage shopping lists, and coordinate with others in shared "spaces" — such as a household, a one-off event, or any group sharing groceries and supplies. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
2. Your account
You can sign in with Apple or Google, or use the app as a guest with locally stored data. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Shared spaces and invites
When you create or join a household or event space, other members you invite (or who join via an invite code or link) will be able to see and edit shared content such as pantry items, shopping lists, and activity within that space. You're responsible for who you invite and for the content you and your invitees add. Owners of a space can manage membership and remove content within that space.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you add to Debara (pantry items, lists, notes, etc.). By adding content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service — for example, to sync it across your devices and to the members of your shared spaces. You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful to others.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
Some features may require a paid subscription, purchased and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and processed via RevenueCat. Subscription prices, billing cycles, renewals, and cancellations are handled according to the policies of the App Store or Google Play account you used to purchase. Refunds are subject to those platforms' policies.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, households, or data.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the proper operation of the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam, abuse, or harass other users via shared spaces.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Debara available and your data in sync, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service, with notice where reasonably possible.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to Debara or other users.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Debara is a household organization tool — we're not responsible for spoiled food, missed purchases, or disagreements between members of a shared space. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Debara will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
